THE STORY BEHIND
Ribe’s old City Hall was built before 1496 and has been used as the town’s city hall from 1708 until 2007 when the last town councilor meeting was held. On the walls in the old Commoner’s hall hang a collection of portraits of vassals and councilors from 1600-1900.

Can we book a date at Ribe City Hall as soon as The Danish Family Court has approved my wedding in Denmark?
When The Danish Family Court send us e-mail that your application for marriage is approved, we will immediately book a date and time for your wedding day at Ribe City Hall.
Can we bring our witnesses to the wedding ceremony?
Yes, you can bring two witnesses. You must let us know if you have any witnesses so we can inform the staff at Wedding Office.
If you do not have the opportunity to take witnesses, then Ribe City Hall will provide witnesses.
What days should we present the documents?
You must attend Ribe City Hall for twenty minutes before your wedding day. The Wedding Office is open Friday between 9 am to 1 pm.
You must bring all the original documents that you have sent to Wedding Planner Denmark and present them to the staff at Wedding Office.
